Florida Atlantic University’s football team will host the University of Texas at San Antonio on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Flagler Credit Union Stadium in Boca Raton. The game will be carried live on ESPN’s flagship channel, the first time a regular-season home game in program history has aired there, according to university athletic officials.
The broadcast gives the Owls a rare prime-time showcase on national television. Officials said it can help with student recruitment, institutional marketing and fundraising, and that it could also serve as a test for future media partnerships.
To fill the stands and give the broadcast a lively look, the university is offering special admission pricing to community members and local readers. Promotional tickets are priced at $5.
The Owls face a busy stretch. Before the UTSA game, they play a road game against the University of North Texas, which is also scheduled for an ESPN broadcast.
