The City of Deerfield Beach is offering a free kindergarten readiness program for 5-year-olds, but registration is required and the city says the no-cost offer is available for a limited time.
The Little Learners program meets Wednesdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the West Deerfield Community Center, 580 N. Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach.
Children will work on the alphabet and phonics, numbers and beginning math, handwriting and fine motor skills. The city says the class also builds school readiness, confidence and independence.
Parents can register online through a link posted with the city’s announcement. The post did not say when the class starts or how many seats are available.
