City offices and services in Boca Raton will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day, the city said in a notice to residents. Offices will reopen Thursday, Nov. 12.

Trash collection will not change on Nov. 11, so residents should follow their regular sanitation schedule. The city points residents to its online Sanitation Collection Map to confirm their service area and to the Recycle Coach app for guidance on what can go in recycling bins.

Parks, beaches, beachfront parks and playgrounds will keep their regular hours on Veterans Day. Recreational facilities will operate on modified holiday hours, according to the notice, though the details were cut off in the message the city sent.

Residents who need city services that day should plan to visit or call on Thursday.
