NASCAR’s championship weekend is back at Homestead-Miami Speedway, with three races over three days. The Craftsman Truck Series opens Friday at 7:30 p.m., the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series runs Saturday at 5 p.m., and the Cup Series championship race goes Sunday at 3 p.m.
Track president Guillermo Santa Cruz said fans will see upgrades this year, including a video-game-style view from the Turn 1 tower. He said the festival area has been moved to the edge of the property, and that land that was once unused or in poor condition has been renovated.
Romero Britto designed the Bill France Cup, which will go to the Cup Series champion, along with the track logo, which features palm trees, checkered patterns and bright colors.
Local 10 News published the full race schedule and current standings for all three series. Fans planning a trip to Homestead should check the speedway’s website for event details and parking.
