The Florida Turnpike is closed in both directions in Delray Beach after a multi-vehicle crash that was reported at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned that several people were injured. The crash scene covers both the northbound and southbound lanes.
Traffic cameras operated by the Florida Department of Transportation show significant delays in both directions. Drivers heading north are being directed to exit at Glades Road. Southbound drivers can exit at Boynton Beach Boulevard.
The source report did not say when the lanes would reopen. Commuters who use the Turnpike through Palm Beach County should plan for longer trips and consider using alternate routes until crews clear the scene.
