Coral Springs Charter baseball player Nolan Mianowski has officially committed to Milton State University, the school announced through local coverage on Coral Springs Talk.
Mianowski said the decision brought a sense of relief. He credited the coaching staff, saying they made him feel welcome from the first time he visited campus and gave him a family atmosphere that convinced him the school was the right fit.
He started playing at age four through the i9 Sports program and joined his first travel team, the Weston Hawks, at age six. He has been on the Coral Springs Charter varsity roster since his freshman year.
His best season came as a junior. Mianowski hit .311 with one home run, 16 RBIs, seven doubles, two triples and 14 runs scored. He hit his first high school home run as a sophomore and made 19 appearances on the mound that year, posting a 3.21 ERA.
For Broward County high school fans, the commitment is another sign of local players moving on to college programs.
