The Coral Springs Charter girls’ cross-country team took fourth place at the District 2A-7 championship meet on Nov. 3 at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton.
Lily Richardson finished sixth and Alyson Thomas was ninth. Both runners said they felt strong during the race and are looking ahead to the regional competition.
Coach Brantley Barr said he was pleased with the effort. He said the team ran well and placed two runners in the top 10, and he praised the group for its performance.
The team will now move on to regionals, where it will look to build on its district result.
