Drainage work in Tamarac is scheduled to start Monday, Nov. 9, near the Sunflower Clubhouse, and it will force a temporary closure of NW 70th Avenue in front of the clubhouse. The city said the closure will last about two months.

The work is part of the Citywide Headwall Improvement Project. The city expects the overall project at that location to be finished within three months.

Detour signs and traffic control measures will guide drivers around the work zone. The city has also installed message boards along NW 82nd Avenue and NW 70th Avenue to alert residents and motorists about the closure.

Drivers who use that stretch should follow the posted detours and leave extra time for trips through the area.
