Flooding has left roads and entire neighborhoods in Palm Beach County underwater, cutting off residents from their homes as conditions worsened, according to residents who spoke with WPBF 25 News.
Bnjy Prince said the entrance to his community, Visions at Willow Pond off Haverhill Road, is submerged. He said he saw a vehicle try to drive through but did not think it was worth the risk for anyone else.
Across the street, residents of the Foxhall community described a similar situation. Donovan Simpson said water in the streets had risen above his waist and entered his home, and that all of the cars at his house were now flooded.
Joyce Billingslea, also of Foxhall, shared a video showing water running through her kitchen, across the patio and toward the bedrooms. She said she could not leave her home and asked for help getting out.
“I can’t take much more,” Billingslea said.
The reports describe a worsening situation as heavy rain continued. The source report did not say how many homes were affected or whether officials had issued an official response.
