Early voting ends this weekend across South Florida, with deadlines falling on Saturday in four Treasure Coast counties and on Sunday in Palm Beach County. Residents in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties have until Saturday to cast ballots at early polling sites. Palm Beach County’s early voting runs through Sunday. Voters can go to any early polling location in their own county.
Mail-in ballots have a different deadline. They must be returned by Election Day, Nov. 3, according to the report.
Early turnout is already heavy. More than two million Floridians have voted early, and more than 41 million ballots have been cast nationwide ahead of Election Day. In Palm Beach County, almost 140,000 people have submitted ballots early.
On the Treasure Coast, St. Lucie County has more than 40,000 completed ballots. Martin and Indian River counties have each recorded more than 20,000 votes, and Okeechobee voters have submitted about 2,000 ballots early.
Voters who have not yet cast a ballot have a short window left to do so before the early polls close.
