Fish Cheeks, the New York Thai seafood restaurant, is coming to Wynwood with a late February 2027 opening planned, according to an announcement earlier this month. The restaurant is run by Jennifer Saesue and Chat Suansilphong, partners at 55 Hospitality.
The Miami location will carry over signature dishes such as the coconut crab curry and Zabb wings. The kitchen also plans to use locally sourced Florida seafood and larger presentations than the New York menu. The announcement did not name specific species or suppliers.
The restaurant serves regional Thai dishes family-style, with curries and whole fish meant for sharing. The New York menu includes a whole steamed branzino topped with cilantro, culantro, lime and bird’s-eye chiles. The team calls Miami its largest Fish Cheeks location so far, following a 2025 expansion in Williamsburg.
Executive chef Dustin Everett will lead the kitchen. He previously spent four years as executive chef at Momofuku Ssäm Bar. Space NY is designing the space, with traditional Thai architectural details mixed with Miami Art Deco geometry and bright Wynwood colors.
No address or reservation details have been released yet. The original Bond Street restaurant in NoHo opened in 2016.
