Broward County Parks and Recreation’s Special Populations Section, working with West Lake Park Marina in Hollywood, is offering a free guided kayaking tour for veterans on Thursday, Nov. 5. The outing runs from 9 a.m. to noon and travels through the West Lake Mangrove Ecosystem.
The Veterans Kayaking Tour is open to veterans ages 18 and up, including those with and without physical disabilities. Participants will paddle through the mangroves and see South Florida wildlife at a relaxed pace.
The marina is at 1200 Sheridan St. in Hollywood. Registration is required. Veterans can call Special Populations at 954-357-8170 or send an email to register or ask questions.
