With one week until the General Election, incumbent U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel and Republican challenger Deborah Adeimy sat down with WPTV morning anchor Hollani Davis to lay out their priorities for voters in Florida’s redrawn 23rd Congressional District.

Frankel, a Democrat seeking an eighth term, said affordability is her top issue. She said Democrats must work to end the war with Iran and rein in the Trump administration’s tariffs to bring costs down. She also pointed to protecting Social Security and Medicare, calling it a priority for Palm Beach County’s large senior population.

Adeimy, a Palm Beach County native who has worked as a financial adviser for firms including Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase, said she would use that background to tackle South Florida’s housing costs. She accused some real estate developers of taking advantage of outdated tax incentives and breaks that she said push up rents in the county.

The district was redrawn this year. It previously straddled the Palm Beach and Broward county line, with most of its territory in Broward. It now covers part of West Palm Beach and extends south to include Boynton Beach.
