Deerfield Beach is hosting free outdoor movie nights this fall, with a screening of “The Wild Robot” at Quiet Waters Athletic Complex, 4200 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the movie begins at 7 p.m. Popcorn is free for everyone.
Families can bring blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic, or buy food from trucks on site. The city says movies run on select Friday evenings at parks across Deerfield Beach. The city’s listing does not give specific dates for each screening, so check the city’s events calendar before heading out.
Before the film at Crystal Heights Park, at 1333 SW 24th Ter., the city is also holding a Pumpkin Smash. Residents can bring a pumpkin to smash and compost, then stay for the movie. The listing names Oveta McKeithen Recreation Complex, 445 SW Second St., as another location.
