Chapman Partnership raised more than $750,000 at its 2026 Illuminations Gala on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami. The money will support comprehensive, wraparound programs for some of Miami-Dade’s most vulnerable residents.

The evening’s theme, “No Place Like Home,” reflected the organization’s goal that no one sleeps on the street. The gala was produced by WOW MKTG. Laurie Jennings, founder of Laurie Jennings Live!, served as hostess, and Grammy Award-winning artist and actor Anthony Ramos closed the night with a musical performance.

Jose Dans, who chaired the gala with his wife, Heide, for the sixth year, said families come to Chapman during the hardest moments of their lives. He said the support helps parents find stability and children find hope.

The program included an introduction to CPWorks, a bridge and transitional employment program that Chapman launched to help people experiencing homelessness become independent. The Lennar Foundation and The Underline each received Community Impact awards as pioneer community partners.

The gala was followed by nextgen, the organization’s young professionals group for adults ages 21 to 45 who work to raise awareness, funds and advocacy for Chapman. The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald were this year’s media sponsors.
