A 23-year-old Boca Raton man is facing a misdemeanor DUI charge after Palm Beach County deputies say he was clocked at 73 mph in a 40 mph zone on South Military Trail on Tuesday night.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the stop began around 10:54 p.m. near Military Trail and Pacific Boulevard in unincorporated Boca Raton. A deputy running traffic enforcement said a black Cadillac heading south appeared to be going about 70 mph, and radar read 73. The driver then turned left at SW 12th Street toward the Parkside subdivision, where the gate was down, and squeezed between a parked Nissan and the roundabout shoulder before the deputy stopped the car.
