Amped Fitness opened its new Margate location on the afternoon of October 12 with a welcome event for new members. A crowd lined up outside the gym to see the space, and Red Bull representatives handed out samples of their energy drinks. Staff cheered as people walked through the doors.
The gym at 3340 NW 62nd Ave. includes a lower-body training zone, a cardio area called Sweat Cinema with large screens, and studio suites with private rooms for solo workouts or virtual training. It also offers instructor-led reformer Pilates and a women-only training area. Manager Clay Payne said the monthly cost is $14.99.
The location is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for members. For residents in northwest Broward County, it adds a low-cost option with late-night access and specialized classes that many local gyms do not offer.
