Three people were taken to hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash near the Palmetto Expressway in Miami Lakes on Monday morning. The wreck closed the southbound Northwest 151st Street on-ramp for hours.

Florida Highway Patrol, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the crash just after 4:15 a.m. Paramedics transported the injured to area hospitals. Their conditions were not known as of the report.

Drone footage from 7 Drone Force showed first responders and tow trucks at the scene. An FHP cruiser and another vehicle were in a small ditch, but the station said it was unclear whether the cruiser was involved in the crash.

The crash also shut down the off-ramp on Northwest 151st Street. That off-ramp has since reopened.

Eastbound and westbound drivers cannot reach the on-ramp from Miami Lakes Drive. Officials urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The station said it would update the story as more details become available.
