A man died after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade on Sunday afternoon, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. near Northwest 21st Avenue and Northwest 79th Street. The driver stayed at the scene. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and determined the man was dead.
The sheriff’s office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash and working to determine what led to it. The investigation is in its early stages, and it is not yet known whether the driver will be cited or face charges.
