Drivers in Palm Beach County face a heavy week of lane closures and construction, according to the Florida Department of Transportation. The agency’s county list covers 24 projects and closures from Oct. 9 through Oct. 16, including 15 major construction jobs and nine maintenance, utility and agency projects. Palm Beach County did not update its road and bridge list for the week, so the count reflects FDOT work only.
The Woodfield Country Club renovation continues to disrupt Clint Moore Road between Florida’s Turnpike and Jog Road. The report says Palm Beach County is looking into reports that Woodfield security vehicles have been parked in the middle of the road. The Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange on Interstate 95 is the week’s largest I-95 project. The $64 million job runs until early 2029.
Other work includes the U.S. 1 repurposing project in Boca Raton and overnight striping on Glades Road. West Palm Beach has overnight lane closures on Okeechobee Boulevard, and the Town of Palm Beach is still working on South County Road. In the north county, the $148.2 million Beeline Highway widening runs until late 2029. Western routes include U.S. 441 lane closures, a closed canal-side highway and a 55 mph reduced speed zone on U.S. 27.
