Coral Gables has a new Italian food hall. Zuccaly, an 8,000-square-foot space from Da Silva Hospitality Group, opened Thursday, Oct. 8, at The Plaza Coral Gables, with six culinary stations, an Italian market and a full bar.
The project comes from restaurateur Erasmo da Silva, who also runs Zucca and the recently revived Hereford Grill. Unlike the fine-dining Zucca, Zuccaly is designed as a casual, lively space modeled on an Italian piazza, where guests can graze between stations and linger over an aperitivo.
The menu is broad. The Pasta & Risotto station makes bucatini cacio e pepe, tagliatelle with beef ragù and lasagna Bolognese. LaBiga serves Roman-style pizza with dough that takes six days to prepare. The Grill & Fish station cooks over an open flame, including a 15-ounce ribeye. Dolci & Gelato offers house-made gelato and the chocolate-layered Matilda cake, and a sandwich station is planned for lunch.
The soft-opening schedule runs Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. The food hall is closed Monday and Tuesday. The website lists regular hours of noon to 11 p.m. daily, but the company said visitors should follow the temporary schedule until it announces a change.
The location is 111 Palermo Ave., Suite 112, in Coral Gables.
