Tamarac will honor the people who serve and protect the community Tuesday, Oct. 27, with the 7th annual VNA National First Responders Day Salute. The event begins at Tamarac City Hall, 7515 NW 88th Ave., from 11 a.m. to noon.
Mayor Michelle Gomez and other community leaders plan to join the event, according to the city’s Instagram post. The gathering is meant to thank police, firefighters and other first responders for their daily work.
The city’s announcement did not list parking details or whether the public can attend without registering. Residents who want more information can contact the city directly.
