Spotty showers blew across parts of South Florida on Tuesday morning, mostly over Miami-Dade, as temperatures started in the low to mid-70s. CBS News Miami reported the cooler, more comfortable start to the day.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-80s Tuesday afternoon, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph and blustery conditions at times. The strong onshore winds have produced a high risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches, a risk expected to last through Friday. A small craft advisory is in effect for Atlantic and Keys waters because of hazardous marine conditions.

Wednesday morning will be cooler still, with lows in the upper 60s inland and the low 70s near the coast. Winds will ease somewhat but still gust to 15 to 20 mph, and a few showers are possible. Highs will reach the low 80s.

The rest of the week should bring pleasant mornings and highs holding in the low 80s through the weekend. Passing showers are possible Thursday. Rain chances increase late in the week, especially into the weekend, when scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected.
