The City of Pompano Beach says it is ahead of schedule on its five-year roadway resurfacing plan, which runs through Fiscal Year 2028. An additional $2 million in funding from Broward County this year is helping the work along.
The city maintains about 300 miles of roadway. Its goal is to resurface roughly 20 miles each year, the city said.
Harbor Village is next in line, with resurfacing scheduled for November 2027. The city said work on Cypress Harbor and on streets north of Atlantic Boulevard between Flagler Avenue and NE 3rd Avenue depends on funding and scheduling.
The Engineering Department recently finished a citywide pavement assessment to set priorities for future projects. The city said it will coordinate paving with planned underground utility work. Residents can find the city’s Street Resurfacing Map through the city’s Instagram post.
