The City of Plantation will hold its next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Thursday, Nov. 5, instead of the Saturday date it usually uses. The city’s reminder said the event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works Compound, 750 NW 91 Ave.

Residents can bring items that are hard to throw away with regular trash, including paint, fertilizers, household cleaners and electronics. The city said the event is open to residents of Plantation and Sunrise.

People who want to confirm which materials are accepted can check the city’s website at Plantation.org/HHW.
