The City of Plantation will start its October bulk item pickup next week, with collection split into two zones divided by University Drive.
Residents east of University Drive can set out bulk items from Nov. 2 through Nov. 7. Those west of the road have a later window, Nov. 9 through Nov. 14. The city said items for the eastern zone may be placed at the curb beginning Oct. 31, and western residents should wait until Nov. 7.
The city is asking residents not to block or cover stormwater drains when they put items out. Bulk items should not go to the curb until the Saturday before a resident’s scheduled pickup date.
Eligible items, the full yearly schedule and an interactive map are available on the city’s website at plantation.org/Bulk.
