Chess players of all ages can sit down for a free open play night in Coral Springs this winter. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts the monthly meet-up on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park Community Center, 500 Ramblewood Dr.
The next sessions are Nov. 4, Dec. 2, Jan. 6, Feb. 3 and March 3. The city’s listing shows the same two-hour time slot for each date.
No registration is required, and players do not need prior experience. The city says families and students are welcome, making it an easy option for beginners who want to learn or experienced players looking for a weeknight game.
