Flooding in Mangonia Park forced a last-minute change to a polling location Tuesday morning, leaving some voters frustrated as they waded through wet streets to cast ballots.

The polling site at 1755 E. Tiffany Drive was moved to Bak Middle School of the Arts. Poll workers had hoped the water would recede, but it had not.

George Ferguson, a poll worker in Mangonia Park, said the development was flooded when he arrived. Cars were parked along the road, and some never reached the development itself. Ferguson said workers called their clerk repeatedly until they learned where the precinct would be relocated.

Voters assigned to precinct 1755 Tiffany Drive should now go to Bak Middle School of the Arts. The source report said the precinct was one of many locations in the area affected by flooding-related changes on Election Day.
