A cancer awareness walk drew residents to North Miami on Sunday morning. The fifth annual gRace 4 a Cure Cancer Walk was hosted by the Women’s Ministries Department of Northside Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1769 NW 119th St.

Organizers describe the event as a way to raise cancer awareness, promote early detection and celebrate survivors. The program included a community walk, free cancer screenings, health resources and wellness vendors.

Families also had activities for children, and organizers recognized survivors during the morning. Local 10 News reporter Isabella Martin covered the event, and her report is available on the station’s website.
