Brightline on Monday temporarily suspended train service between Orlando and West Palm Beach because of high water along the rail corridor in Brevard County, the private rail company said.

Service between Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach is running normally. Brightline said maintenance crews are on scene at the affected area and will restore service once conditions allow safe movement through it.

Rail teams are monitoring the water levels with Florida East Coast Railway. Once the water recedes, crews plan to inspect all tracks, signals and crossings in the area before passenger trains return.

Guests with affected reservations will be contacted directly about their travel options. Brightline has not yet given a timeline for resuming the Orlando route. Riders can check GoBrightline.com, the Brightline app or the company’s social media channels for updates.
