South Florida should expect a stretch of breezy, cooler-than-normal weather through the coming week, according to WPBF 25 News. Winds are forecast to strengthen Saturday and reach their strongest levels Sunday and Monday, when sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph could make conditions difficult for boaters, beachgoers and anyone planning outdoor activities.
Highs will hover in the low 80s. Today brings a few isolated morning and afternoon showers, with rain coverage around 20%. Tomorrow looks similar, with only a stray shower possible and sustained winds building to about 15 mph.
The breezy pattern is expected to hold through midweek, with sustained winds generally between 15 and 20 mph. Rainfall will stay limited overall, though scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible from Sunday through Tuesday.
In the tropics, Subtropical Storm Josephine is forecast to gradually weaken. Forecasters are also watching a disturbance in the central Atlantic that has a low chance of development. Even if it organizes, it is expected to stay over open water and pose no threat to land.
