Public Art Boca is inviting professional visual artists and artist-led teams from across the country to submit qualifications for a temporary artwork on the interior atrium windows of the Downtown Boca Raton Public Library, 400 NW 2nd Avenue, the City of Boca Raton said.

The piece will draw on Living Anthologies, a memoir program for residents 55 and older. The program is presented with the Boca Raton Museum of Art and mentors from the Creative Writing MFA Program at Florida Atlantic University. Artists are asked to respond to the memoirs through their own vision and practice, and artists working in any medium may apply. Successful applicants typically have experience with site-specific, public or large-scale work.

Submissions require qualifications only, so no design is needed at this stage. Applications are due Dec. 8, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Questions about the call should be emailed to the city by Nov. 13, 2026. Detailed eligibility rules, the selection process and the schedule are in the full call to artists, which is available as a PDF and through the city’s submission portal.

Veronica Hatch, the city’s public art coordinator, is the contact for the project.
