The Parkland Flag Storm girls high school team won the NFL Flag regional tournament in New Orleans and will return to nationals for the third straight year.

The Storm went 3-0 in pool games and outscored their opponents 58-0. Ainsley Weissman was named the tournament’s most valuable player, even though she suffered a broken nose in the final.

The championship roster also includes Avery Shah, Noa Rachimi, Kaitlin Zaharia, Emily Broch, Alyssa Birch, Brenna Mazanec, Delany Gordon and Sam Acosta. The team will next compete in regionals in July.

For Parkland families, the result extends a run of regional titles for a local girls program that has become a fixture at the national level.
