The Town of Jupiter’s Historic Resources Board will hold a public hearing on a Certificate to Dig application for a proposed commercial development by Blueline. The hearing is set for Monday, Nov. 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex at 210 Military Trail.
The application covers two archaeological sites on a 0.51-acre property at 18019 Highway A1A. The sites are the Scheurich Midden and the Celestial Railroad, both listed with the Florida Master Site File.
The board will hear evidence and arguments for and against the request. Residents who want to speak are encouraged to attend. The town said the item could be postponed or withdrawn without prior notice.
Anyone who plans to appeal a decision will need a verbatim record of the meeting, which the town does not provide. Questions can go to the Department of Planning and Zoning at (561) 741-2323, or to the town’s agendas and minutes page at jupiter.fl.us.
