Heavy rainfall is flooding parts of Boynton Beach, especially low-lying roadways and areas that flood often, the City of Boynton Beach said Sunday, Nov. 2. The city warned that more rain could make conditions worse.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning and a Coastal Flood Advisory for the area. City staff are monitoring conditions across the community and responding to problems as they come up, the city said.

Residents and drivers are being asked to avoid flooded roads and never drive around barricades or road closures. The city also advised allowing extra travel time, finding alternate routes when needed and avoiding unnecessary trips into flooded areas.

The city said it will post updates through its official channels as conditions change.
