The Hollywood Housing Authority will open its public housing wait list at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, but only by phone. The agency will accept calls until 4 p.m. or until 75 households have successfully registered, whichever comes first.
The phone number is 754-355-3066. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and the housing authority asked residents not to call before 9 a.m. Friday.
Applicants will be asked for their name, address, telephone number, Social Security number and date of birth. Preference goes to people who live or work in the City of Hollywood.
The city stressed that this is a housing authority program, not a city program. Questions about the wait list, eligibility and the application should go to the housing authority, not City Hall. More details are posted on the housing authority’s wait list page.
