Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is asking residents for information about an injured stray dog found in West Palm Beach. The agency announced the request Friday.

The dog, identified by the animal ID A2346816, is an approximately 8-month-old female shepherd mix. A good Samaritan found her near South Military Trail and Summit Boulevard and brought her to the county’s animal care clinic.

When she arrived, both of her hind legs appeared injured, bleeding and swollen. Staff said she remained alert and friendly, and her condition has improved under clinic care. Officials do not know how she was hurt.

The dog has no microchip, so her owner is unknown. Anyone with information about the case can call 561-233-1200 ext. 0.
