The 13th annual LagoonFest takes over Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and the event sits next to the WPB GreenMarket.

Organizers, promoting the event through Visit Palm Beach, say visitors can expect hands-on wildlife encounters and touch tanks. A large kids zone offers face painting and lawn games at no charge. The day is meant to celebrate Lake Worth Lagoon.

Visitors who want to get on the water can book scientist-guided catamaran tours aboard the Hakuna Matata. The post says tours start at $10. Bookings are made through the link in the event’s Instagram bio.

The festival is a good option for families looking for a weekend outing before Halloween weekend ends. Parking details were not included in the post.
