The City of Miami is urging residents to prepare for King Tide events, which bring higher-than-normal tides that can cause flooding in low-lying areas.

City officials advise people to avoid walking or driving through floodwater, keep vehicles away from spots that flood easily, and watch for changing conditions.

Residents who see flooding can report it by calling 311 or through the ISeeChange app.

The city posted the 2026 King Tide dates and safety tips on its website at miami.gov/kingtide.
