The City of Tamarac is warning residents about scammers who falsely claim to represent the city and promote municipal services through unsolicited communications.
The city said it does not contact residents by unsolicited phone call about home improvement programs or other city initiatives. Residents should verify any program before clicking links or sharing personal or financial information.
If someone is unsure whether a program is officially connected to the city, the city asks them to contact it directly or check its official communication channels. Questions can be directed to the city at (954) 597-3530.
