That column on a neighbor’s porch or the trim along a new home’s roofline may not be stone or concrete at all. In many South Florida homes it is architectural foam, and some of it is cut in a shop in Pompano Beach.
Architectural Foam Florida is a family-owned, licensed and insured manufacturer of custom EPS architectural elements. It is the successor to New Foam Design, a name the local market knew for more than a decade, and it has operated under the new name since 2025.
From a drawing to the facade
The company makes columns, corbels and brackets, moulding, trim, shutters, louvers, medallions, arches, window headers and sills, wall caps and custom shapes, including large dimensional letters for signage and oversized pieces for events. Customers can bring a drawing, a photo with measurements or a sample piece. Each profile is programmed and CNC cut from high-density EPS, shaped and sanded by hand, and finished with a hard coat that leaves a firm surface ready for paint.
For builders, the appeal is weight and consistency: the pieces have the presence of a substantial architectural element but are much easier to lift and set than many traditional materials, and repeat orders come out with the same profile every time.
Installed or shipped
The company’s own crew can install the pieces, or the shop can supply them to a contractor’s installers. The team works across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties and on Florida’s West Coast, and it packages and ships orders beyond the state, including to the Bahamas and other islands, where feasible. Clients range from homeowners to contractors, architects, designers and commercial developers.
