The city of Boca Raton will open the Community Accessibility Program, known as CAP, at Patch Reef Park this fall. The city announced the launch in a newsletter sent Tuesday, though the source did not list an exact date or time for the ribbon cutting.

The program is aimed at inclusive and adaptive recreation for children and families across the city. Visitors will get a first look at the new facility, watch vendor-led activity demonstrations and meet community resource providers.

City officials describe CAP as a welcoming space where every family feels seen, supported and celebrated. The program plans a full calendar of adaptive and sensory-friendly activities, family support programming and community events.

For families of children with disabilities or sensory needs, the center could add a new local option for structured play and support. Residents can get updates on the opening through the city.
