A new vendor at the West Palm Beach GreenMarket is bringing imported Italian specialty foods to downtown shoppers. Truffle Smiles is one of five businesses making their debut at the market this year, WPTV reported.
Owner Robert Hurbanek said he imports artisan truffle products from Italy. His booth carries truffle oils, pasta, sauces and truffle chips.
Hurbanek said the truffle mayonnaise is a standout. He said it can change a burger or a BLT. Customers also keep coming back for Parmesan Reggiano, which he said works on mashed potatoes, burgers and even grilled cheese.
Hurbanek said he chose the GreenMarket because farmers markets let him talk with customers and hear how they use his products. The business fits this season’s market theme, “The World Right Here,” which highlights food traditions and cultures in the community.
The GreenMarket is held on Saturdays in downtown West Palm Beach.
