WPBF 25 News meteorologist Nikki Sheaks visited Port Salerno Elementary on Friday morning to teach a Weather Class for the school’s entire fifth grade.
The lesson covered forecasting, how to read a weather map and the local weather phenomena students might see in the Treasure Coast sky. Sheaks told the students when the best times are to spot certain clouds and weather events, encouraging them to start looking up.
The class ended with a short quiz, and every student passed.
