The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Women in Pink Empowerment Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W Commercial Blvd.

The event marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month and brings together achievers, survivors, sponsors and businesswomen from across the community for an afternoon of recognition.

The featured speaker is Suhay González, founder and CEO of Seis Cosmetics. According to the chamber, she started the company after her family faced several cancer diagnoses. Her line focuses on safe, richly pigmented makeup for all skin tones. The program also includes a fashion show by Fashion Designs by Deborah Rose, a Pink Hat Competition and the City of Tamarac’s Ruth Bader Ginsburg Commission on the Status of Women Award.

Peter Mason, the chamber’s executive director, thanked the event’s sponsors, including PuroClean as title sponsor and the City of Tamarac among the gold sponsors.

Advance tickets cost $60. The luncheon has sold out for three straight years, so organizers suggest buying early. Tickets and details are available at tnlcoc.org.
