Trader Joe’s is coming to Boynton Beach. The California-based grocery chain confirmed in an announcement published October 9 that it plans to open a store at 334 N. Congress Ave., Unit B, in 2027. It will be the city’s first Trader Joe’s.

The company has not set an exact opening date. It said its team is working toward a 2027 debut, and more details will follow as construction and preparations move forward. Residents who have driven to neighboring cities for the chain’s products now have a closer option to plan for.

The chain also announced two other Florida stores. One is planned for Orlando, in a former Party City storefront at 1444 N. Alafaya Trail. The other is planned for Sarasota, at 8199 S. Tamiami Trail, Unit 100. Neither has an opening date yet. Once all three open, Florida’s Trader Joe’s count will rise from 29 to 32.

Trader Joe’s opened 34 stores nationally in 2024 and 43 in 2025, according to the article. The new South Florida location adds another place for shoppers to find seasonal favorites such as Mandarin Orange Chicken, Speculoos cookie butter and Everything But the Bagel seasoning.
