The Seed Coffee + Juice has added a Coconut Creek location at 6742 N State Road 7, Suite 103. The chain started in Boca Raton in 2014 and now has shops in Broward and Palm Beach counties, including Lighthouse Point, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Jupiter and Fort Lauderdale. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The menu goes beyond coffee and fresh-pressed juice. It includes smoothies, açai bowls, salads, empanadas and baked goods, along with seasonal specials. A reviewer who visited the Coconut Creek shop called the October Bagel Bomb, a $7 pralines and cream version filled with pecans, caramel and vanilla-caramel cream cheese, the best item tried. The $5.55 Argentinean beef empanada also earned praise, while the spinach and cheese version fell flat.

The reviewer also liked the house Paradise Honey Chipotle Sauce, which is available as an add-on. The $8 Pesto Burrito, a large portion with pesto, mozzarella, spinach and eggs, was described as a good value. The $5.25 blueberry scone was called dry and forgettable.

The review was less kind about the interior. The reviewer said the shop felt very cold, the lighting was harsh, and the couch cushions looked stained. Outdoor seating and warm colors were noted as positives.
