Tournament organizers announced Tuesday that American Taylor Fritz will return to the Delray Beach Open for the event’s 35th anniversary, scheduled for Feb. 12 to 21, 2027. Fritz won the ATP 250 tournament in 2023 and 2024, and a third title would make him the first three-time champion in its history.
Fritz also became only the second player to successfully defend the Delray Beach crown, after Jason Stoltenberg in 1996 and 1997. During the 2024 run, he won every set he played, one of seven champions to do so in tournament history.
The 28-year-old is ranked world No. 12. This year he reached four finals, in Dallas, Stuttgart, Halle and Washington, and won the ATP 500 event in Washington, D.C., in August for his 11th career title. He also reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals. The 2027 event will be his ninth appearance in Delray Beach.
The opening weekend includes a Legends event with Andy Roddick, Bob and Mike Bryan, Tommy Haas and Murphy and Luke Jensen. Roddick will be inducted into the tournament’s Walk of Fame after his Feb. 12 match. Qualifying runs Feb. 13 and 14, and the main draw for singles and doubles starts Feb. 15.
The 2027 event will also host the eighth Delray Beach Open Food and Wine Series. Individual session tickets and series packages are on sale now at DelrayBeachOpen.com, or by calling 561-330-6000.
