The City of Boca Raton has lifted its swimming advisory for Spanish River Beach, Red Reef Beach, South Beach and South Inlet Beach Park. The city posted the update Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at 3:45 p.m.

The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County collected water samples at the beaches on Monday, Nov. 2. The results showed Enterococcus bacteria at levels the state considers acceptable under its guidelines.

Enterococcus is a bacteria commonly used to measure water quality at beaches, and high readings can lead to swimming advisories. Residents and visitors can view the full test results on the department’s Healthy Beaches page at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.

The city also shared a Healthy Beaches press release. Beachgoers who want to check conditions before heading to the water can use that site for the latest sampling data.
