South Florida will stay mostly dry Wednesday, with a chance of passing showers and high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon, according to CBS News Miami. The northeast breeze will increase to 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday marks the start of the dry season, but rain chances will begin to rise as moisture moves in. Highs are expected to reach around 90 degrees.

The heavier rain arrives Friday and continues into the weekend, with scattered to numerous thunderstorms possible. The breeze will shift to the east and build, bringing windy weather and hazardous conditions at beaches and on the water. Temperatures are expected to dip slightly under the rain and cloud cover.

Beachgoers should be aware of a moderate risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches. No marine alerts or advisories are in effect for Atlantic or Keys waters. The National Hurricane Center has no tropical development expected over the next seven days, the forecast said.
